Autumn 2010

A lot has been going on in the House of Panda recently, which has kept me super busy and is the excuse that I’m going to use for why I haven’t updated in nearly a month.

I had all these far-ranging plans to go out and take a bunch of photos of autumn, but life and other things (the evil weather among them) conspired to throw a monkah wrench in these well laid plans of mice and pandas, and as a result I only had the chance to photograph a few autumn leaves near my hood before they all turned brown and dropped off.

And while in an ideal world these pictures of leaves would be accompanied by some pithy, neigh-poetic text about the beauty and splendor of autumn penned by yours truly, I’m afraid that this is a) not an ideal world, b) I am not nearly so poetic these days (or really, was I ever, though I was considerably more emo-angsty as a young panda) and c) I spilled coffee on my shirt this morning and whilst I washed it out (and ended up buying a new one with sleeves that are too short because the clerk didn’t measure me correctly and I foolishly trusted her without double-checking) I still smell like coffee and it is discombobulating my groove and preventing me from thinking about anything save taking a shower.

Which is my long, round-about and sort-of-weird way (it’s been an odd morning) of saying that there will not be any pithy text accompanying today’s post, only pictures of autumn leaves. Which I hope you enjoy looking at as much as I did taking them.

Beautiful pictures. Especially love the one that has two leaves in it. Even the dying leaf has a certain beauty to it. Excellent shots!

The inspiration is that finance companies dish out a huge little extra bucks which you
then pay back once pay day originates. The repayment volume
