2009 World Bicycle Messenger Championships |
09.27.2009 |
I'll be back with the next set of pictures from the Yokohama Birthday Bash and of course the next installment of the Great 2008 Cross Japan Autumn Roadtrip soon, but first I just wanted to post a few pictures from the 2009 World Bicycle Messenger Championships held in Odaiba, Tokyo last week.
I had wanted to catch the track stand and skid competitions in particular, but I got there pretty late last Wednesday, so all I managed to see was the tail end of one of the sprint competitions.
Unfortunately, all I had with me was my wide-angle 10-22mm and 50mm prime, so I didn't have much focal length to work with to catch decent closeups of the riders (I know, excuses excuses) from my position on the side of the track where I was standing. But it was still fun to see them go at it and they were definitely a colourful and fun group to photograph.
Not much else to say about this. A bunch more pictures after the keep reading link below.
Okay that's it! Thanks for reading!
