Ocean Style I |
07.22.2010 |
This past Monday was Ocean Day and so to celebrate, I thought it only fitting to make a trek over to the beach and take in some sun, sand, waves and of course, beautiful blue summer skies.
A lot of my photography to date has centered around pictures of the sky and buildings, but recently I've been trying to expand my repertoire by taking more photos of people.
So with that in mind, I coerced the lovely Bethann and Maya into coming along to the beach for a summery ocean themed photoshoot.
It was kind of a last-minute thing so I didn't pack much equipment - in addition to my trusty wide-angle lens and a 50mm prime for the closeups, the only other gear I brought was a white reflector and a circular polariser for the skies.
(Oh and my shiny new iPhone 4, wrapped up in a halloween-themed ziplock bag because I didn't have time to buy a case for it yet ;))
Anyway, we had such a great time and it was a lot of fun taking these photos. I was really, really lucky to have such perfect weather, amazing blue skies and of course, such lovely and beautiful models! Days at the ocean don't really get better than this.
More photos after the keep reading link below.
Okay that's it. Thanks for reading!

It was nice seeing a different type of photography. The models and the colors of the beach were a new take on blue skies and the video was a very good touch. Kudos.
