The time? Saturday morning, 7am
The place? Right outside my apartment window
The culprits? Pork barrel Japanese construction workers
The dirty deed? Waking my poor, bedraggled panda ass up waaaay too early for a Saturday morning.

Finally, unable to sleep, I roll out of my futon, landing on the floor with a pathetic groan and sack-of-potato-like thump. Crawling on my hands and knees over to my window, I peer outside, squinting at the evil bright sunlight threatening to obliterate my corneas. What do I see?

Damn that went up fast! This was merely an unruly bundle of lumber just the night before! I slowly pan over towards the left.

Oh man...! What the....?! I do a double take of the men standing on the gigantic jungle gym of lumber right outside my window. Keep in mind I live on the third story...!! I instinctively glance down to make sure I'm presentable, since apparently these guys can see right through my window. The hammering and mechanical racket has increased to an almost unbearable amount. I pan over to the left....

Errrm... Hello dudes in bright colored overalls currently building a massive apartment frame up up and past my balcony window. Then the thought strikes me.

One of the reasons why I took this apartment was the "great view" described to me by the landlord. And it was a wonderful view of the city (as you can see out past the slowly looming lumber tower).

This stupid building is going to completely block my view from the only windows in my house.

Now listening to: "Nas - One mic"
(while burning up with ferocious rage at how from now on when I open my curtain, I'm going to be staring straight at a brick wall like the rest of the citizens of this incredibly ugly concrete mess of a country)
