Ocean Style I

It was nice seeing a different type of photography. The models and the colors of the beach were a new take on blue skies and the video was a very good touch. Kudos.

2008 Autumn Roadtrip - Part VII

Hey hey panda-san! I'm in Taiwan right now for exchange. Want me to send you a postcard? Since I still owe you a letter I believe.

I might visit Japan soon...

Site Redesign 2009

Congratulations!
You did a great job on the usability front, unlike certain design schools that shall not be named here.
Personally, I'm not partial to the background color you chose, but overall the site has a very friendly, macintosh-y look.
I second Felix' proposal to add a comment function to the pic of the day section.

And Yay! to the more frequent updating plan!

Yo Panda.

Nice photos as always. I was just wondering what lens do you recommend I should buy since I just bought a Nikon D90. I am think of a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4. What do you think??

2008 Autumn Road Trip - Part II

Haha, that reminds me of the form Europeans have to fill out before entering the USA:

Are you a terrorist?
Yes [ ]
No [ ]
Thinking about it [ ]

Choose wisely! :-)

2008 Autumn Road Trip - Part I

Hey Panda-san,

Sorry dude for not updating. I still remember the present I owe you. In fact, I bought you something already. My blog will be updated... soon.

Oh, you're so lucky! Here the sunny and foliage-y part of autumn is already over; haven't seen the sun in days. Me so depressed … Need more chocolate …

Have a great trip!

The Hard Light Blowout and Nuno Napkin Extravaganza

"I do not currently menstruate" - I just laughed so hard!

Do they sell these pads with a panda design?

No, seriously, that is quite possibly the grossest and most disturbing thing ever; I cannot imagine who would even consider using something like that. I am horrified and will probably have nightmares for days.

(I owe you an e-mail. It is forthcoming. Soon, um, -ish.)

Monorail Blue Skies (Sky Worship V)

Nice post! Polarizing filters are expensive as hell, but it looks like it's worth the penny. I got myself a Canon 450D and I'm hooked on shooting photos with it! It is so much fun! I'm thinking about the 10-22 too as I'm fascinated by the ultra-wide angles.

August Break

hm, i agree with you on most things but i don't see why it's odd at all to bring in your own mug to starbucks. id do it. my friend does it all the time without complaint and in cali i see people do it a lot (though cali is probably a bit greener than, say, wisconsin).

suck it up and bring in your on cup, homeboy! the earth will thank you for it (even if the barista doesn't).

Of cicadas and summer

I like the environmental bend to bringing one's own cup, but also feel like it defeats part of the experience of eating/drinking out. It's like bringing a plate to McDonald's, and asking them to place your food directly on it--part of the experience of eating at McDonald's is the opening of the bag, the unwrapping of the burger, etc. So I would add to your public/private sphere the additional dilemma of novel versus familiar. Drinking out, I want the novelty of a beverage container that I didn't bring from home, even if it's a reusable "starbucks" mug that they keep in-house. From a marketing angle, when you bought the Starbucks cups, it was to bring part of the "Starbucks experience" home with you. Once you start bringing the cup back to Starbucks for your drink, then your home experience starts intermingling with the Starbucks experience, diluting it one might even say. People may want to bring the Starbucks experience home, but who wants to bring the home experience to Starbucks? It's cheaper just to drink coffee at home, then. The lines get all blurred, and it's just all messy...

I think it is very strange and inappropriate to bring your own cup to Starbucks. But then again, a free drink ... Let us know how you're going to solve this pressing problem.

Of Pandas, Pears and Home-made Butter...

When we moved to WI, I was in first grade, which would have put you in fifth grade. So how did you learn to churn butter in third grade? It must have been later than that!

Technicality aside, funny... although I never got to do this and I feel ripped off. I think I am going to do this sometime...

Of Pandas, Pears and Home-made Butter...

Oh, I forgot what a cute panda you are! (*-*)
But indeed, you seem to need a haircut.

Another cute panda: Kung Fu Panda - did you catch it yet?
Maybe you should try baking a Fanta cake. I remember back when I was in elementary school, cakes with lemon soda in it were the thing to bring for bake sales. Oh, and did you know that Fanta was invented in Germany in 1940, because they couldn't get the syrup for making Coke from the USA due to shipping restrictions?
I guess I'm rambling again. Anyway, cute video, cute panda, have a fantalicious week!

Ganbatte with the JLPT study. Have you made yourself a little vocab box? I've made myself another to try to get back to the standard I was at before, to what purpose I do not know.

Well done on the test - find some fun stuff to distract you from waiting!

Painting with Light

Crossing my fingers! You never know, maybe you did better than you think right now.
The JLPT - maybe I should bring myself to finally taking that one this year. Almost 6 months left to prepare for it, and it might help me get, I don't know, somewhere. I'll think about it; maybe I'll join you in studying?

LSAT? Wikipedia say that LSAT mean:
* Law School Admission Test
or
* Lightweight Small Arms Technologies, a US weapon program

So... ummm.... are you trying to get into law school, or something much more nefarious? Or something completely unrelated perhaps...

Totally didn't see the Hitler thing coming... but if ever I would expect to find it in somebody's blog, it'd be yours.

Lovely art work.... *cough cough* but didn't you get a chance to try clay pottery (the non-spinning-wheel variety) in like middle school or whatever?

Oh, and one other thing that struck me as weird.... in your pictures of the train platform (second picture in this entry), is the sidewalk made out of legos?

Panda!! Do you happen to know of a high school that would be interested in doing a homestay exchange with my awesome old high school in Connecticut? I've been asked to find one for them. Fingerprinting

Quite a long read it was! But man, I'm quite disappointed with Japan's system. I was planning to visit Japan early next year and now I'm not sure whether I should. Fingerprinting? Interrogation? I come in peace!!

As a matter of fact, when I entered Japan four years ago for my student exchange, the customs were insouciantly searching through my luggage. They put everything back after 20 seconds of search and showed me a photo of drugs and asked me if I have those with me while pointing at the drugs. Do they think that a serious drugs smuggler would comply and confess?

07-11-14

Post coming soon...

Argh, exam time - I know how you feel. But don't forget to celebrate Thanksgiving next week, at least a little bit; go out and have a nice dinner. Everything's better with good food. And cake. You should always have cake.

Ok, I'll stop rambling on and on about food now …

Take heart, there will be less tiring times. Or, as we say in Germany: Augen zu und durch - eyes closed and through!
07-11-14

Nekobukuro Kitty Kats

Great pictures! Love the third kitty shot. I might need to pay a visit to this place, seeing as I can't have a cat lest my dad decides never to visit me. Oh wait... ^^ I kid.

I heard about the fingerprinting policy that's going into effect in Japan, but I imagine you're referring to other, more serious issues as well. Now I'm curious, not to mention a little concerned. Do you think the new policies will have heavy implications for visitors to Japan as well? I'm considering holidaying there for a bit next summer.
07-11-05

Nekobukuro Kitty Kats

What the *beep* is going on over there? I guess I've been missing out on news from Japan lately, jetting back and forth between Berlin and Styria, land of Arnold, all the time.

Birthday Scarf Panda

Hello hello,

Happy belated birthday! I'm horribly sorry to have missed even the week-after, but I hope you had a better time after the disappointment of the day itself. Won't you tell us exactly when your birthday is so we may innundate you with all sorts of things birthday-ey next year forth?

My blog is languishing away as I've just no time to post right now. A combination of having much reading and tests, a telly in my dorm, as well as no laptop is very detrimental to blogging. Wait not, and you shall not be disappointed. (sorry.)

cheers from boring dc,
adele

ps: I do admire your keen fashion sense. That scarf is very tasteful. If only chic were more affordable!

Happy belated birthday! The big 28 - wow. (Omigod, I'll be there in 5 short months)
I'm sorry I've been so incommunicado recently, I'm insanely busy with my thesis and my sucky job; life is not fun these days. And the weeks are just rushing by, it's fall already - still it feels like I just got back from my vacation at the Baltic Sea.
But, thesis or not, today it is sunny and warm outside, and I will go somewhere, take a couple of pictures and have the biggest White Chocolate Mocha Starbucks has to offer.
Have a great day! Love the scarf!

Your brother can't help but notice that not only has your appearance emo-phied, but your "now listening to" has shifted over time from gangsta rap to... Yellowcard?

Not that I have anything against Yellowcard mind you, I happen to like emo music, just... is this what is in store?

How Expedia.com made me hate Yoghurt

Such a cute pic of your little Pakupakupanda buddy happily sitting atop of your backpack, so sorry about your trip being cancelled! Try and have a good time in Japan instead - road trip maybe?

I feel your yoghurt pains, my friend, being lactose intolerant and actually scared of milk products....

Try and visit Berlin while I'm still living here (you never know, I might just move to Felix Austria soon....), and bring your NYC-friend along!
07-07-25

Are you getting fatter...?

Cheer up dude.

You do realize that the American workplace is far more volatile, right? If you can't handle a crack about your physical appearance (especially one that's not true) how on earth...

NEVER LET YOUR GUARD DOWN!
Subtle comebacks should always be prepared!

Glad you're still alive. But who am I to talk - once again I've broken my promise to appear on iChat/Skype; for the second week in a row, no less.

I blame the time difference. Everytime I get home at night and would be able to chat, it's like 4 am in Japan. Or do you want me to call you up at that time? I'd be happy to!

Oh yeah, les news: Flying to Austria on Friday! So excited! I wonder if they have pandas there....

Lindsay, the Telemarket-stalker

I usually don't read long story but wow, this one is GOOD. And funny... and a little freaky.

And as for myself, I also had a few stalkers in my lifetime. AND I AM NOT PROUD OF THAT. I can't agree more but they are scary. For instance, this "not good-looking girl" that is always messaging me to go out for a dinner. I mean dude, I don't want to frickin go out with you. Seriously, all I wanted to say to her is "go look at the mirror!" but I just can't. Afraid that she'll do something stupid. So all I can do is to avoid replying her message.

Well, that's my part of the story and I do hope she read this so I don't have to say that in her face.

Oh. And nice pictures panda.
07-05-28

Lindsay, the Telemarket-stalker

Omigod, I am sobbing with laughter right now!

But, on a more serious note: I know the situation. I, too, can't just be mean to people, tell them I don't like them and to get lost. Which is exactly how I got groped on the subway (again) last night....

By the way, I think Lindsay called me at my job last week. At first she just wanted to place an ad in the personals, but then she ended up telling me her life story, how her husband left her, and how her daughter died, and how maybe she should just kill herself.
Picture Lorelei here, at a loss for words and unable to just end this frickin' call.
07-05-25

Lindsay, the Telemarket-stalker

Wow. I have trouble telling people things bluntly as well, but i'm getting better at it.

Panda and the Eau de Gooch

Oh, poor Panda, I wish I could help! I always thought the Japanese were so peculiar about personal hygiene.
Maybe you should present him with a nice cologne, or a deodorant? Tell him about how unbelievably great your shower this morning was? Oh my, that last one sounds kind of gay, so maybe not.

I think you fully deserve Ono Mayumi arriving at your doorstep holding a baby panda and declaring her undying love for you, Panda, I really do!

Dining Table, what what!

Great set up there mr.michaelpanda. Speaking of which, I just purchased a new work lamp (MIL) from IKEA for my desk.

Another little advice is drink lots of Red Bull if you have to pull an all-nighter (that's what I did for few nights during my exams). I know it's unhealthy but life is all about sacrificing one thing for another thing. Similar to smoking.

And your black MacBook is really cool.
07-04-27

Dining Table, what what!

And just last week I thought that I'd like to read "Kitchen" again some time. Very Outer Limits-y, this post of yours is...
Working on your letter right now!
07-04-27

Dining Table, what what!

That is so weird, I've been thinking about getting that very same table/chair combo for my place! Ikea is everywhere, after all.

Your apartment always look so neat and stylish on the pictures you post: everything is tidy and you have flowers! In real vases! Do you clean up for picture time or are you just the perfect housewife?

Night Photos and Naughty E-mails

That was hilarious. It's too bad you don't have more Mac experience, otherwise the Apple+Q function usually ownzors whatever is open.

and yeah, the laptop screen. I might've thrown that lid down first.

I never made it to Hakone, but I might have if I'd know they have pirate ships! Love that ropeway view - good old Japanese countryside.

Panda vs. The Bathtub

Placing an electrical device into a bathtub sure is the smartest thing to do! And for the driving on the wrong side of the road your mention at the beginning of the post, my mom did that too. You see, in Hong Kong, people drive on the left (same as Japan) and Canada is on the right. I never make these kind of mistakes therefore I'm a way better driver than her.

Nice room by the way, and you do look like an frickin emo in those pics.

Panda vs. The Bathtub

So hilarious,
I just had to write about this post on my own blog (oooh, metablogging!)

I love Onsenkuma-chan!

Post coming soon...

Take you time Panda though I am actually longing for a new post too. Got to go back to work now. 12:19AM over here in Canada. Crap.

France Adventure Pt. I

Another very funny post! Hungry Panda wandering Copenhagen airport....
Which, btw, is the main Scandinavian airport because of its location, I think. It's located on an island called Zealand, very close to Sweden. I think there even is a bridge connecting them (Sweden & Denmark, that is) nowadays.
And about that passport-stamping thing (I'm an insufferable know-it-all, I sure know that): When you're entering one Schengen country (France) coming from another Schengen country (Denmark), no one gives a tiny rat's ass about ID or customs. Maybe the Japanese aren't familiar with that, seeing as it only has been in effect for, like, 20 years now.

Setsubun - the face smashing festival

i love it when you comment on my blog. cause that lets me know that you just updated yours. and man, when you update, you UPDATE.

hi-def pictures, running commentary, and lay-out like a lay-out gangsta!

you're like the britney spears of blogging.

no news from you for months on end, and then all of a sudden you're in, like, 3 sex tapes, and your junk is posted all over the internet.

hehehehehehe.

(you know, except you post about france. same same.)

by the way, the water bottle had words like, "love", "peace", "joy", and one the front, "forgiveness" written on it.

it's a derivitive of this guy's study:

Setsubun - the face smashing festival

I remember my family writing our own shinto during our trip years ago in Japan. How I long to visit Japan again... (I may indeed be visiting Japan again for my exchange program at school.) Yet again, great pictures Panda!

A Panda in London (France Pt. II)

ah panda
does anything ever go smoothly for you?

France Adventure Pt. I

According to Wikipedia, Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark.

Anyway, I'm not quite finish with this blog post because it's so long. But wow, these are FANTASTIC photos! And another random thing about France is that they have one of the lowest growth rate in the world (learn that from ECON). Make sense though because they're a fully developed already.

Anyhow, I should finish up reading your part1 adventure in France...

well there you go. had i read this entry first i wouldn't have asked what kinf of camera you use. there i go being chronologically ordered again.
06-12-20

Early Morning Photography

i like these photos.

i use an entry level canon rebel xt. or canon kiss n in japan. i like it. i don't know much about cameras or photography so i went with an entry level model.

how about you?
06-12-20

The Roundup

Banana Republic eh? Well my fav. brand is Levi's. Hehe. And yea. Although I really-really hate myspace, I must admit that your myspace design is actually quite nice. The good thing I find in it is cleanness of the design. (Unlike other myspace crap). And at last, I will be looking forward for the changes you'll be making on michaelpanda.com!

The Great Bike Theft of 2006

and wouldn't you know it, holmes. my buddy's bike gets tolen from right outside our apartment the daya fter you made this post. the theif even left the crappy bike he was riding, as if exchanging bikes is okay.

ah well...

The Great Bike Theft of 2006

unrelated. the sign in the 2nd bike picture advertises a 900 yen ticket to... Hakata? Fukuoka?

The Great Bike Theft of 2006

when i got my bra stolen, they brought out that damn measure thing too, and chalked the exact place my bike was when my bra was taken. oh and i loved the hand written reports and the hand written copy of the handwritten report, all written at the desk with a laptop sitting on it. grrrr
06-11-04

The Great Bike Theft of 2006

ah, eff it! this kinda junk happens everywhere in the world (but probably a bit less in japan). getting mad, sad, or just beating yourself up over it only makes you tired. really really tired.

at least that's what i've been telling myself, lately. year 4 in japan for old vets like us can be taxing--i guess when it gets TOO taxing, it's time to bounce the eff out ninja-style.

---

i keep my pics small on purpose. not sure why. maybe so others can't use 'em without permission, i guess, but not really for that reason.

but thank you for the super nice words on my blog. being that i also appreciate your photos, i am quite happy to be complimented by someone else who loves to take pictures. it's like were both part of some secret, super nerdy club.

keep your head up over that bike. it's junk, but not super-bad junk relative to some of the other injustices in the world.

i never asked, hows the new job?
06-10-29

The Great Bike Theft of 2006

:( Why does Japan hurt the people who love it most.

I apologise for the fact I was laughing aloud as I read about the ridiculous police. At least if it had been in America you could have held out the hope someone was going to say "you're on candid camera".

Jumbo the giant panda

Dear God. Jumbo? I can't imagine what that woman was trying to achieve - perhaps she is just senile. Perhaps you should ask her to elaborate next time: "Do you mean that as an insult or a compliment? Or do you simply pass the time in your boring job making extremely inane comments?" Alternatively you could point at her and start saying "short! short! bent over double from osteoporosis!" and see how she likes it. (Is that too mean? I'm not sure)

The comments and touching that foreigners get in Japan reminds me a little of the situation of celebrities who, in putting themselves out there, find they have to surrender some privacy and answer questions about their lives to people they don't know. Not to say that gaijin are like celebrities (although of course sometimes they are) but to put oneself in that position - where you stand out a radically different specimen to everyone around you, both culturally and in most cases physically - is taken by most as an invitation to comment on that. Obviously Japanese people don't have the same concept as us of privacy and what is a rude question, as is regularly observed to great consternation and hilarity. However, just as asking what a westerner has for breakfast is basically an enquiry about their whole country's habits, perhaps they see playing with a foreigner's curly hair as something different to an investigation of the specific individual. They don't expect the victim to take it personally. Perhaps... or perhaps they just think they can get away with it. Who knows.

I walk away...

Ah... I know sometime it is hard to leave friends behind and move to a new environment... It's a very natural thing! I will feel the same - maybe in a couple years - once I leave Calgary and back to my home, Hong Kong. But I'm sure you will enjoy Tokyo a lot for it is a very exciting place, and besides, you'll meet new friends!

Oh man, I havent been there in ages. And now I remember why. It aint China Town unless you have aggressive chinese women yelling at you to buy shit. oh, and that lovely smell...

This chinatown in Yokohama seems far more interesting than the one in Calgary. Very unique in style, and I can actually meet people with my own cultural background in Japan. Fun : )

Great Takayama Road Trip Part I

hands down, panda, your comment about the girl next to you on the plane was the funniest comment i've ever gotten. in fact, that coment deserves a post of it own. that's comedic gold. you can't waste that kind of humor on the backpages of my comment section , man! hahahahahahaha!

i always think those sembei thigns look good. so i get one. but though it tastes an 8 out of 10, they usually cut the roof of my mouth so i don't appreciate them so much. kinda like doritos.

Asbestos breathing Panda

Hmmmmmm, for some reason I think asbestos is worst for chronic exposure but I could be wrong! Either way, that is Not Good, though it doesn't surprise me in the least. Perhaps they don't worry about it since all Japanese are screwed for lung cancer anyway, given the attitude to smoking.

The way Japan works is pretty scary but, as my current co-worker keeps pointing out, it continues to work in spite of it all.

How can you reconcile that with who you are as a person? By realising you've found the best way to exist in a culture that is a polar opposite of your own. You know exactly when to swallow your pride and do what you need to - because Japan isn't going to change for you or any other gaijin - and you know exactly when disturbing the wa is necessary. Some things have to be ignored and some things have to be acted on. Just look around you at all the examples of people who haven't adapted half as well ;)
06-03-21

Killing Time...

japan does that to you, huh? maybe it's the weather and how it's constantly changing on a whim leaving the people in it's super-cold-melancholy or super-hot-hating-life wake.

hey, i'd actually really like to visit your neck of the woods sometime before the next 5 months are up. i have no idea if you'd like to put me up, but if you would, i think it'd be a great time. you'd go down as my first internet friend.

have a good spring break. come back from wherever it is you go a little bit more refreshedand ready tot ackle the ret of your time.

hahahahahahaha, there is no better revenge than this. You got your sweet...i mean sweat revenge.

And in reply to your comment: Yes, it does look like that in person!

Mochi made with sweat (and other stuff)

i liked "enter the thermal sealer" the best.
it's funny on so many levels. the delivery was hilarious. the simplicity. but when i think that it would also make a killer title for a cheesy ninja flick - like the kind where a white dude from the US learns the secrets of some exotic, asian country, and uses those same techniques to kill the evil boss and also bed his daughter - i nearly die laughing.
i'm glad this ordeal is over for you. but do me a favor, when you go home, remember the good parts of japan, and try not to dwell too much on the cruddy parts, namely the old dudes and their old gaijin-hatin' ways.

well written. well done. and damn homey, no joke, you got panda-sized balls for pulling this off.
hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Dear God you can't be considering giving him a cake! Well, to show the true spirit of your apology I think you should bake one for him. Only make sure you use 塩 rather than 砂糖 as you're a dumb foreigner who can't read any kanji.

Paper chase...?

パンダさん、あけおめ!
06-01-13

Paper chase...?

its been so hard being back in japan. i guess i'm finally at that "i'm done" stage of jet. i could stay on another year, but at this point, with the current high school i'm at, what's the point? the kdis are eh, the teachers are wack, so what's the motivation. are you feeling me? or is it the cold talking? not to mention even though it's cold here, i get no love with the snow. jsut once i'd like to play it up in the snow.
06-01-12

Square root of wha...?

Square root of 3? And people say the Japanese education system concentrates too much on rote memorisation! ;)

That said I love the number mnemonics. They seem to attach them to so many phone numbers and if they make sense they're cool. I think it's Hokkoku Shimbun whose phone number ends in 4946 (よく読む). Or something like that. My students made some up to read like their names when they had to do home shopping presentations :D
06-01-10

Paper chase...?

Paperchase is a nice stationary shop in the UK!

Misheard lyrics are very funny. I think the technical term is "mondegreen". I can never seem to remember any of mine when I need to though. That website is pretty funny but on the first page I looked several misheard lines were the same as the *title* of the song. Errrrrr.

Bumper Cars

rar. i hit a guy when i was 16. my car was perfect. i glided into his pickup truck with my 87 station wagon at a stop light and it "slightly rotated his bumper" so he insisted my dad replace the bumper which was goddamn expensive. although it was nothing compared to his front cause the guy was in a serious car accident the week before where he almost killed another driver.. i nearly had a serious problem when the guy started to moan abuot back pain to the cops. arg!

Pooping in Japan I - Panda and the J-toilet

I don't know how you manage to make these stories so funny (and long) but you do. Finally you're talking about something everyone wants to hear about - how long til part 2?!
05-11-07

Pooping in Japan I - Panda and the J-toilet

hey Panda, I like the new design. It looks sophisticated and neat. And I'm typing this comment through an Opera browser. So, it works with Opera! However, as a big fan of Opera browser, I'm using a technical preview beta version 9 of Opera and this version has more standards included. So I don't know about the previous builds.

And regarding your story. That was mad funny and disgusting at the same time. Unfortunately, the way you wrote it created disturbing mental images while reading your encounter with Squat Toilets. However,I wonder what you have said/written to Amber about Squat Toilets in Japan.

Oh yeah, and thanks for the mental images. haha
05-10-27

Emergency Button...

Love the new design! :) Is tres stylish. Perhaps have the title of the post in bold, or a little lower in the striped bar?

How Apple iTunes 5.0 almost ruined my life...

Did you try changing your regional settings to English, install with English selected, then change back to Japanese? Also, where Apple may be at fault is by offering you the choice in the first place. I would think they should follow the OS settings. Isn't that what they are for (provided they allow changes)?
05-10-06

Emergency Button...

Funny how the simplest things turn into a complete performance. However, you did get the pizza in the end and Kita would have thought you were a crazy gaijin anyway. Plus you saved a little old lady. What would have happened if you'd been out at the time?
05-10-03

Emergency Button...

wait.. when did Kita become an aussie?
and like.. in the whole 30 mins this was going on NO ONE came?
man.. i hope you don't ever have a real emergency.. it might be easier then to just call the dominos pizza guy and have him come over and take u to the hospital or put out the fire or kill the 8 meter squid for u.
how tall is senile old lady? if she's like just under four feet, slightly hunched back, wears white gloves, and looks at your with tiny sad eyes then i think I know her.
what's with the security code panda fool?
05-10-02

Emergency Button...

Oh, what an adventure to get a yummy, tiny and overpriced pizzas of Dominos Pizza in Japan.

The problem with Opera is that when I want to type a comment, the cursor goes to the "Search this site"-thing. And I don't know how to keep the cursor at the comment box. It is like the priority of input from users is at "Search this site" instead of comment. I don't know if previous builds can reproduce this "bug" though.
05-09-27

How Apple iTunes 5.0 almost ruined my life...

*blink* that was long >_< but im commenting anyway or you will get whiney and cry on the phone to me again.
05-09-24

How Apple iTunes 5.0 almost ruined my life...

Another prove that Apple's iPod is oriented for Mac users, which initially was the purpose of the iPod: To serve the Mac users with a portable music player to works with their Mac.

But the non-Mac users wanted an iPod too. They were blinded by the design even though iRiver has better features. And because it didn't work on their Windows machines, Apple had to make it compatible with their rival's codes. This is their way to get you, yes Mistar Panda, to buy their lovely Mac notebooks. But I guess you don't comply with Steve Jobs' wish now.

Turning 26...

Dude! Sorry for being late. Otanjoubi omedetou. I'm browsing with Opera lately and somehow... I can't write a comment with Opera.

About the question where you should go, how about Shanghai? It's booming there. Although you have to learn Chinese then.

hey hun! Ah Tokyo nostalgia. Pooky and I also did the same route of Tokyo Tower, Free Masons and Roppongi Hills. I'm growing fonder of Tokyo, but the smell still kills me. Perhaps when I'm working at the Sanrio Tokyo office I will get used to it..
so yeah, when you were in Ueno, did you see the RED PANDAS? (^_^)

I need to reserve some time to read your post
05-05-08

Whole lotta xenophobia going on.

お疲れ様. I wonder how many people involved in or having opinions on the dispute have actually been able to read the text book. Any comment on right and wrong aside, I think the claim that it "glosses over the Nanking Massacre/Incident" is supported by that translation.

All I can say about the rest is, yeah, that really sucks. At least your bitterness finds its expression in the verbosity and circumlocution you love so well. I definitely feel the vulnerability here. I'm sure more than one law-abiding gaijin has fallen foul of the keisatsu.

Try to remember the things you love about Japan. Current number one for me: an excessive number of public holidays!

Spring Break

I couldn`t get hold of a decent bike, so we`re gonna have to nick the crap one my landlord leaves under my stairwell. I`ve also made you some very manly strawberry cupcakes to welcome you. Very much looking forward to showing you my favourite rice paddies.

Eh? The bags look like they're a reasonable size, and quite convenient for everyday use. If I had to travel to somewhere as far as another prefecture, I'd probably bring much more than would fit in there! :D If not in "saddlebags", then where do they usually put their stuff, like laptops?

ps: like the first picture best! ^^
