Hi Mike!

Here's another quote for you that is often tossed around here in America regarding the whole "freedom vs security" thing...

"The man who trades freedom for security does not deserve nor will he ever receive either."

To all the Rooms Ive loved before

Excellent and interesting topic for a post. If only I took photos of all the places I've lived in the last 10 years. Since 1998, I've moved to a new place every year. I think I finally found a cheap place that I can live with for maybe a couple of years before moving. Is so, this might be my first year I do not move.

Though, given that I've had the police knock on my door and ask if I was "Daniel" twice now, whom I guess is my perpetually disturbed and drunk neighbor "Dan". The fact that I've seen dumpster bonfires and stolen car fliers doesn't help. Oh, and the house has sunk on one side, which makes water hard to drain from the shower.

hehe, maybe I should move again. =)

Swetha learns how to drive. sort of.

I realized it was probably bad idea when Swetha nearly hit every car in the big, nearly empty, parking lot of Perkins at 1am in the morning.

I guess it's human nature to want to drive BETWEEN parked cars in a parking lot. It's like one of those fun little obstacle courses.

Thank God she couldn't figure out how to back up and the curb took some energy out of the car before the fence stopped us. heh

The Time Travelers Panda

Looks like a Beatles haircut. Oddly, It's a bit shocking to see it on you. Not what I would expect.

Definitely different. But is it Panda?

Are you getting fatter...?

Oh... btw...

According to certain French people, (sugar-free)Gum makes you fat. Much disagreeing, laughing, some Google searching finds out that the French don't mean 'fat' but mean 'bloated' which appears to be true.

Apparently, chewing gum makes you take in more air, which in turn makes you bloated. Like some kind of Kirby.

So, according to the French, that's why she doesn't chew gum and MAYBE a good excuse you can use for 'getting fat'. hehe

Cheers,
Johnny

Are you getting fatter...?

** Now when I say "I'm addicted to gum", you need to understand folks, that I don't mean "oh I chew a few pieces a day". Rather, my gum consumption is measured in packs, as in "I'm a 2 1/2 pack a day chewer" **

Hehe, I probably chew a pack a day too. Sadly, mines to keep me from snacking on other things.

A Panda in London (France Pt. II)

Ah Mikie!

First, you could have gotten an all day, 5 section 'underground' or 'tube' pass for like 5 pounds (probably 6 pounds now). Basically, London sections radiate outwards from the city and are broken out by some sort of distance measurement. There's a special name for this pass, but I forgot what it was called. Sucks, I really should have given you a 'tips' guide, but I didn't remember you where headed to England as well.

Second... London is very easy to walk around... no seriously! The suggestion to walk isn't very far-fetched for the masses there. From Waterloo, you can pretty much walk anywhere important, and with an extended walk (about 30 mins) you could even reach the other interesting areas... for tourism that is. Oddly, when you first start discovering London, you would just hop the tube and end up at the location. But once you start walking around, you find out all the places you where going were just hiding around the corner and it was faster to walk than take a tube!

hehe, such is the reason I love London! That and "Ciao" the Italian ice cream bar. *drools*

Hey, when I get married in France, and of course you'll be there, we'll take a trip to Londres (as the French call it) and we'll sight see and hit a few discos.

Cheers,
John
