I like to keep several smaller blogs on things that don't necessarily merit their own full-length entries on the main blog, but which I still want to write about. These sub blogs as I like to call them, are posted from my computer, from my mobile phone, and sometimes, straight from my camera.
LiveSearch
This search box lets you search through all the blog entries and dynamically returns any hits below, along with a brief excerpt. You can click on a result to be taken directly to that entry.
Livesearch narrows down the query as you type showing only entries that match ALL the words you typed. You can also use modifiers such as the - ("minus" mark) to exclude a word (for example, typing "-japan" will not show any results that have the word "japan" in them) and the * ("asterisk" mark) as a wildcard (so "run*" matches "runt", "runner", "running" and so on.)
Site Search
While Livesearch only searches blog entries, SiteSearch will search the entire site using google. Since this is a service provided by google, it is possible some small text ads may be shown next to the results. This is google's doing, not mine.
Tag Search
This gives you two different ways to visualize the "tags" associated with each blog entry. With the Tag Cloud, all the tags are shown in a large "cloud", with each tag sized relative to the others according to how popular it is. More popular (common) tags appear larger, and less popular tags appear smaller. Tag Frequency displays a linear bar chart of tags in alphabetical order, with the color and size of the bar indicating how often the tag appears in the blog database.

I'm still working on updating this section of the site.
But for now, you can check out the Picture of the Day sub-blog below!
